This page explains what personal data we process about you, why we do it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We have tried to write it plainly, without unnecessary legal language.

We do not sell your data and we do not pass it on for marketing. We share it only with those without whom we could not provide the service or meet a legal obligation:

Hosting and the mailbox run on servers in the Czech Republic. The only service that may involve a transfer outside the European Economic Area is Web3Forms, which delivers the booking form; any such transfer is covered by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
This site uses no analytics or advertising cookies. We do not track your behaviour and there are no measurement scripts on the site.
The Contact section contains a map from Google. It loads only when you scroll to it, and when it loads Google may obtain your IP address and browser details. If you would rather avoid that, simply do not scroll to the map and use the coordinates printed beside it.
The fonts used on this site are stored on our own server, so browsing sends no requests abroad.
You can exercise the following rights at any time. Just write to info@betyna.cz — we reply within one month at the latest.
You may ask what data we hold about you and request a copy.
If your data is inaccurate or incomplete, we will correct it.
You may ask us to delete your data. We will comply unless the law requires us to keep it — with the guest register or accounting records, unfortunately, we cannot.
You may ask us to stop working with your data temporarily while its accuracy or the lawfulness of processing is clarified.
Data you have given us and which we process by automated means on the basis of a contract will be provided in a machine-readable format.
If we ever process data on the basis of legitimate interest, you may object to it.
If you believe we handle your data improperly, you may contact the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, uoou.gov.cz.
The website runs as static pages with no database and no admin interface, so no personal data is stored on it. Booking enquiries reach us by e-mail and only the owner has access to them. The register of guests, including foreign nationals, is kept electronically in the guest card system operated by the town of Pec pod Sněžkou; access is password-protected and limited to the owner.
A booking is always made by an adult. We process children's data (name, age) only to the extent needed for accommodation, pricing and the statutory register, and it is always supplied by a parent, guardian or accompanying teacher.
